I am in a little bit of shock I think that Christmas is next week. I love Christmas time though and cannot wait to see my kids' faces Christmas morning. Another thing I love about this time of year are all the lights, food, treats, and parties. Jamie Forsythe of Sweet Jelly Parties is sharing her Candy Cane Lane Christmas Party with us today and it's just adorable! So many fun details and ideas for you to use for your own celebrations. Jamie says:
"Christmas is my most favorite time of the year so every year we host a Christmas party. Sometimes it's just for the kids and sometimes it for the adults as well. This year it was a joint party with lots of sweet treats & good eats. Appetizers & wine in the kitchen, sweets & cookie decorating in the living room.
Outside I set up a hot cocoa bar and s'mores bar.
I sent out my adorable invitations which included an insert asking guests to bring one of their Christmas cards.
I set up a Christmas Card Exchange table next to the fireplace where guests could take one of my cards and then pin one of theirs to a star on the wall made out of ribbon. Such a cute and simple idea to showcase you cards allseason long.
Last years party I set up a cookie decorating table for kids to decorate cookies for Santa. They loved it so much I decided to keep with the same idea this year.
Each chair had their own plate of cookies with a festive Christmas apron and a selection of icings and toppings to decorate with.
I set up a dessert table inside as well with some delicious North Pole cupcakes. The cute topper signs are from SwishPrintables. Some of the other sweet treats included were sugar cookies, Santa hat Oreos and snowflake pretzels from Crate & Barrel.
After mingling inside you could head to the back yard to the hot cocoa & smores bar set up. I moved the fire pit into the yard and put out wood stumps for the kids and a recent DIY project my husband finished of turning an old headboard into a new bench.
A couple comfy pillows and a warm cozy blanket and it was the perfect setting to roast marshmallows.
Don't you just want to grab your hot cocoa mug, warm jacket, and cozy blanket and join this party?! So many great ideas in the Candy Cane Lane Christmas Party! Thanks for sharing with us, Jamie!
